Stenciling

Create a rich effect with a bamboo stencil border over a red sponged wall.

Step 1

Begin by painting the wall in a medium bright red colour .

Step 2

Let first colour dry. Then use a darker purple-red colour
mixed with glaze medium to randomly sponge the wall surface. Try to create a sense of depth.

Step 3

Use the bamboo stencil from top to bottom in different shades of beige colors. To avoid too many repetitive patterns, plan to use the stencils at different height as well as use the backside for the mirror image.
